Why Volunteer?
Voluntary activities benefit individuals, families and the community. People get involved for all sorts of reasons, such as:

Who Volunteers?
There is no typical volunteer. Volunteers tend to fall into several groups:
- Recently retired people seeking to keep active
- People with personal experience of a particular problem
- Faith organisations

- Offenders and probationers
- People with illnesses or conditions which limit their lives
