Community Projects and Activities
In addition to supporting local organisations, we run a range of community-based projects that bring people together, build confidence, and help tackle real-world challenges. From digital skills to creative expression, our projects are designed to be inclusive, empowering, and rooted in the needs of our local area.
Here’s what we’re currently running:
Digital Essentials
Our Digital Essentials courses are free, friendly sessions that help people get online — and stay safe and confident while doing so.
Held in local venues throughout the year, these short courses are perfect for anyone who:
- Feels left behind by the digital world
- Needs help with smartphones, tablets, or laptops
- Wants to learn more about staying safe online
Whether you’re a complete beginner or just need a bit of support, we’re here to help.
Craftivism
Craftivism blends creativity with positive action. It’s about using craft as a gentle tool for change — and for connection.
Our Craftivism sessions offer a warm, welcoming space for people to come together, reflect, and create. We launched the project with The Lancing Mural, a beautiful patchwork made by local residents that celebrates what it means to belong to the Lancing community.

Repair Café – Lancing
Don’t bin it – bring it!
Our Repair Café in Lancing runs every third Saturday of the month, offering a place where you can bring broken household items and get help from our volunteer fixers.
From toasters to trousers, we’ll do our best to repair it and save it from landfill — all while having a friendly chat over a cuppa.
Pop-Up Information Hubs
Need help with starting a group, finding funding, or getting involved locally?
We host Pop-Up Information Hubs in community venues across Adur. Drop in for a friendly conversation with our team — we’re always happy to help, whether you’re looking for volunteering opportunities or want to know more about support in your area.
