We are looking for a Book- Keeper volunteer who can help with
Taking in receipts and re-imbursing employees and volunteers
Paying the rent for the community hall one month in advance
Keeping accurate records of income and expenditure – income typically £10-
12,000 p/a
Create a cashflow of monthly income and expenditure
Create an annual account of income and expenditure and any financial carry
over between years, for submission to Companies House and HMRC
Record the working hours of employees
Submit employee salaries for payment as appropriate
Provide a quarterly update to the Directors on cash at the bank, in particular
flagging up an alert if we move below a financially safe threshold (less than
five months of outgoings covered) This can be flexible/ work from home for 3hrs a week.
What skills do I need?
Experience of using Xero
Experience of book-keeping and account management
