Covering – Adur, Arun, Chichester, Crawley, Horsham, Mid Sussex
This role is about supporting and empowering people to be independent and stay connected to their communities. Would you like your time to make a real difference to a person in your local area? We have opportunities available for volunteers to help individuals to make the most of their life and link with their community.
Good Neighbours volunteers transform the lives of individuals by supporting and empowering them to live the life they want and stay connected to their communities. Whether it is driving individuals to a destination, company to go shopping, guidance on nutrition or being there to improve confidence and reduce isolation, you will make a real difference to the people that you support.
You will work with an individual for up to 12 weeks which you will arrange yourself with your Client to identify what would improve their life and then support them to take positive steps to connect to their community and reduce their isolation. This could include one-to-one or group activities and may link into other services in the area - whatever suits the person. Your role will involve elements of lone working and building a relationship with those you visit, which is hugely rewarding for both you and the people you support.
You will receive relevant training for your role and will be welcomed and supported by a friendly
