Headquarters and Shoreham base for Adur Voluntary Action, the Old School House also provides space for Esteem and Adur Special Needs, together with a well-used meeting room, and other office facilities. It is a focal point for community action and activities in Shoreham and Adur.

Description:
Joint project by Lancing Parish Council and Adur Voluntary Action to raise levels of volunteering and community activity in Lancing. Facilities for promotion of local events, local information, and also collection/deposit point for local food bank.

Objectives of the Group Friends of Lancing Ring was set up as part of the Susex Countryside Campaign. Several conservation organisations have liased to help form this group, which is aimed at the local people of Adur, all those who use and/or care about Lancing Ring. If you care about Lancing Ring, please join us to help ensure that its beauty and wildlife flourish, for ourselves and future generations to enjoy. Our objectives are: —¾To encourage local people to an awareness of the beauty on your doorstep. —¾To encourage public understanding of the ecology of Lancing Ring. —¾To promote visits to Lancing Ring to observe the rich wildlife. —¾To survey, monitor and protect the wildlife on Lancing Ring. —¾To act as a focal point for all conservation work. —¾To undertake that work alone or with other groups. —¾To also undertake path maintenance and litter clearance.

Lancing Community Bicycle Project Bicycle initiative set up to provide free facilities for any member of the community to repair or service their own bicycles with on site professional assistance, support, tools and workshop facilities. They also recycle donated bicycles for adults and children. Through confidence building events, activities, courses and volunteering opportunities, Esteem provides a platform for young people to help themselves on their journey to achieving employment and their own, true life goals.
