Fundraiser - Our friendly team is looking for a Fundraiser to join us on an ongoing basis, so that we can teach more adults to read. We are entirely volunteer-run, but need funds to cover our running costs e.g. buying reading manuals and resources, training reading coaches, publicity costs. On average, it costs around £200 p.a. to teach an adult to read.

As Fundraiser, you will be part of the management team, and involved in decision-making. We all work from home, independently, but with the support and guidance of the team. The team get together around once per month - either in the Brighton area or online.

What skills do I need?

Fundraising experience is desirable but not necessarily needed. You will  just need enthusiasm to help a great cause - help us to teach more adults to read and change lives!

Basic IT skills required, along with a laptop/device and internet access. You will be granted a Microsoft 365 account. Experience using MS Outlook, Word, Teams etc. is useful.

You will be applying for grants, coming up with fundraising ideas and implementing them - working with our Publicity Organiser.

The role requires someone with a few hours to spare each week (3-5 ?) - and is very flexible.
