Fundraiser - Our friendly team is looking for a Fundraiser to join us on an ongoing basis, so that we can teach more adults to read. We are entirely volunteer run, but need funds to cover our running costs e.g. buying reading manuals and resources, training reading coaches, publicity costs. On average, it costs around £200 p.a. to teach an adult to read.
As Fundraiser, you will be part of the management team, and involved in decision-making. We all work from home, independently, but with the support and guidance of the team. The team get together around once per month - either in the Brighton area or online.
What skills do I need?
Fundraising experience is desirable but not necessarily needed. You will just need enthusiasm to help a great cause help us to teach more adults to read and change lives!
Basic IT skills required, along with a laptop/device and internet access. You will be granted a Microsoft 365 account. Experience using MS Outlook, Word, Teams etc. is useful.
You will be applying for grants, coming up with fundraising ideas and implementing them working with our Publicity Organiser.
The role requires someone with a few hours to spare each week (3-5 ?) - and is very flexible.

Availability Details
This is an ongoing role requiring a few hours each week. You 'll mainly be working from home, but in contact with the team. You 'll need to attend occasional meetings (online or in-person in the Brighton area) and may need to attend occasional publicity/fundraising events. Start date: as soon as possible.
