This is a flexible role involving planning, organising and bringing people together! As part of our Fundraising and Events Team, you’ll help develop, coordinate, and deliver a range of fundraising initiatives and community events throughout the year. From traditional activities like bake sales and raffles to larger events such as Bonfire Night, open days, Group events and Scout Aid, your creativity and enthusiasm will help us raise vital funds to support our youth programs, maintain equipment, and enhance our facilities. You’ll work closely with the Group’s leadership team, other volunteers, and local businesses to secure grants, donations, and resources. This is a flexible, team-based role where your time and contributions will be genuinely appreciated. Whether you have experience in event planning or just a desire to help, we’ll provide the support and guidance you need to succeed. Key skills include good communication, organization, and a collaborative spirit. This is a great way to develop fundraising experience, meet new people, and support the personal growth of young people through adventurous outdoor activities on water and land. Volunteers who complete their induction are regarded as full members and are covered under insurance via The Scout Association - Wheelchair Access
